Do British like Mexican food? If so, what and where have you eaten it?

By Mexican food I mean something that comes close to the authentic one, not the Tex-Mex served in the US.Do British like Mexican food? If so, what and where have you eaten it?
To be honest most British are going to think tex-mex IS normal mexican food, there are very limited Mexican restaurants and they arent very authentic -often things like salsas/sauces will be made less spicy to adapt to British palate as chili is used a lot less in our food, and tex-mex is pretty common



Saying that, I'm British and in Mexico at the moment and I'm loving the food - flautas, tacos (esp campechanos), gorditas, chilaquiles! etc etc



If more authentic food was available in Britain i reckon people would like it!Do British like Mexican food? If so, what and where have you eaten it?
i like tacos, encheladas, home made refried beans not the stuff you get in cans, nachos, chimichangas, chilli con queso, spicy mexican rice mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm



i visited riviera maya in mexico and was amazed that i went to four restaurants in the mayan areas and the food was quite bland - i did however like this chickn they cooked under ground in a clay pot with mexican spices and chillies as well as grated dark chocolete - it had a smokey spicy taste with a hint of chocolate in the back of my throat, im usually quite good at mimicking recipes so i will definately try this chicken when i get a chance it was yummyDo British like Mexican food? I love mexican food, but there aren't many mexican restaurants in the UK - they're usually tex-mex places. There' Las Iguanas and Chiquitos, but that's about it. We tend to just make it at home.Do British like Mexican food? If so, what and where have you eaten it?
There used to be an authentic Mexican restaurant in Manchester called Amigos, on Oxford Road opposite the BBC building. I miss that place so much.
I have only had it from Mexican restaurants. I tend to have Fajitas or quesadillas or tacos. I dont like re fried beans though. I make fajitas and tacos at home a lot 鈾?/div>
