Where is the best mexican food in Los Angeles?

I just went to El Taurino for the first time in like 5 years and WTF it was 75% rice and beans...it wasn't like that when I used to eat there...even the mexican place I go to in freaking Santa Clarita is better than El Taurino now. Any good mexican places where the quality hasn't gone down so much?Where is the best mexican food in Los Angeles?

Depends what type of Mexican you like. There's the simple Mexican food, there's the upscale Mexican food, there's the Mexican food that specializes in seafood and then there's that horrible **** they call Tex-Mex. Here are some I like.

Tacomiendo in Culver City has great burritos.

Rosa's in Redondo beach.

Don Jorge's on Venice near La Cienega is good simple Mexican food.

Pancho's Tacos in Manhattan Beach is good but expensive, great environment.

Then there's the old famous spots, El Cholo, Tito's tacos, El Tepeyac, each can be good.

There are so many Mexican places, little hole-in-the-walls that are great, and they can be found all over.
