Are all mexican food consist of rice, beans and taco?

all though they have different names, most of the mexican food I ate consisted of rice, beans, meat and flat bread/ or taco.

just made in a different style or with a different flavor.

wether you call it burritto or fajita or chiptole or taco/tortilla etc!Are all mexican food consist of rice, beans and taco?
No, not really.

Thats the sad concept that the tex mex and fake mexican food had put our food into.

We do eat beans, we do eat rice, and we do eat tortillas. however, are you going to say that all the german food consists in potatoes, sauerkraut and sausages? no.

Try Mole, a traditional spicy sauce with a touch of cacao.

Try the different soups like menudo or pozole.

We have many tortillas yes and tamales yes because thats our local produce.

Burritos arent even mexicans, and fajitas are not a taco.

Go to a GOOD Mexican restaurant, not a fast food place. You can get Chili Verde or fresh fish, and alot of other items that aren't rolled up in a tortilla and smothered with cheese
No, they have stews, soups, meat, chicken, and fish dishes, salads, and desserts.



It does seem like many of the restaurants focus on tortilla based dishes. Perhaps because they're so portable?Are all mexican food consist of rice, beans and taco?

The Mexican food we eat here in America is totally different from the Mexican food actually eaten in Mexico. For one thing, Tex-Mex does indeed mostly consist of rice, beans, meat, and cheese. Mexican, however, runs the gamut as far as ingredients go.



Personally, I prefer Tex-Mex. Sorry to all the Mexicans out there. :(



When I refer to food as 'Mexican', I usually mean it's Tex-Mex. I guess it's just my stuck-up American mentality.
The north of Mexico is known for its beef, goat and ostrich production and meat dishes, in particular the well-known Arrachera cut.



Central Mexico's cuisine is largely made up of influences from the rest of the country, but also has its authentics, such as barbacoa, pozole, menudo and carnitas.



Southeastern Mexico, on the other hand, is known for its spicy vegetable and chicken-based dishes. The cuisine of Southeastern Mexico also has quite a bit of Caribbean influence, given its geographical location. Seafood is commonly prepared in the states that border the Pacific Ocean or the Gulf of Mexico, the latter having a famous reputation for its fish dishes, a la veracruzana.



In modern times, other cuisines of the world have become very popular in Mexico, thus adopting a Mexican fusion. For example, sushi in Mexico is often made with a variety of sauces based on mango or tamarind, and very often served with serrano-chili blended soy sauce, or complimented with habanero and chipotle peppers
