I saw your question and decided to read up on the matter... Do you remember in Germany when Jews always had to have their "papers" on hand to prove who they were? If they didn't have their papers, they were killed. What happens when a hispanic-looking person doesn't have an ID on them when a police questions them? Not everyone carries an ID or remembers to bring theirs at all times. Will the police just let them go? What good does it do then? This is ridiculus that they even signed this bill (for many reasons). So no, I will not be boycotting with you.
PROBABLY you and PETAWho Is Boycotting Cinco De Mayo Bars and Resturants who Promote Mexican Food and Alcohol?
Since we are not doing the same to St Patrick's Day and Cinco de Mayo is just another excuse to have fun and get wasted, I'd say no, we have social lives as opposed to those who still live with mom and dad.
I say your probably going to be lonely. Regardless of any ones view about illegal immigration. Nothing short of the world ending would keep Americans from getting drunk and acting the fool.
Better to remain silent and thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
Thanks for the update
Whatever.
I have avoided any business that employs illegals for years and won't purchase anything from Mexico. I will support Arizona in any way I can.
I don't generally celebrate it, but I'm not boycotting a celebration simply for the actions of some. What we saw in the protests were people who are demanding amnesty, not fairness, and if no one noticed, it was spurred on by those who are creating racial divide, because their re-election depends on the hispanic vote. Conquer and Divide... old as dirt.
Those protestors were a tiny dot on the map of hispanic people in this country. Most hispanics did not go out in protest, because they are hard working people who have as much right to be here as anyone else, and they've earned it.
