Does couscous go with mexican food?

Im making enchiladas tonite and was wondering if couscous would be a good substitute for rice. I know it's not exactly a mexican food, but would it work? Thanks!Does couscous go with mexican food?
Couscous would be an excellent alternative to rice, especially with enchiladas, because couscous is traditionally served with spicy, meaty dishes. Couscous is simiar to rice in structure, so go different and try couscous this once.Does couscous go with mexican food?
Sure, it'd be swell.|||humm noooo|||Since couscous is like a rice or pasta, it will go well with most any kind of food. I'm sure it'll be great with Mexican.|||couscous is more of a pasta item...but what the hell...it will be like mediterranean enchiladas....|||Its not classic mexican, but my daughter loves cous cous with bean and cheese burittos or tacos. Just use some mexican seasonings-like cumin, and hot sauce to flavor the cous cous. Hope it turns out well|||Everything goes good with enchiladas! Soooo what time is dinner?|||Mabey if you added some chilli powder and a few cloves of garlic, but over all couscous is a more sophistocated flavor.|||Of course! Just season with some cumin and chili powder. YUM
