Poll: Do you think that Latinos (mexican) have the best food?

I think mexican food is the most delicious food out of the all the other genre of foods. Agree or disagree?Poll: Do you think that Latinos (mexican) have the best food?
i like chinese the mostPoll: Do you think that Latinos (mexican) have the best food?
Mexican food is really good. IMHO though, Thai food takes the crown.
Disagree, I find Mexican food misses the spot taste wise.

I much prefer Indian or Chinese.Poll: Do you think that Latinos (mexican) have the best food?
I really do like their food. I could eat it several times per week with no complaints.
that or italian.Poll: Do you think that Latinos (mexican) have the best food?
no ! I love chinese and italian the best!
Yes it has an exciting variety of flavors, textures and ingredients which makes for a strong contender for best food...... plus chicken fajitas with guacamole and sour cream is the food of the gods and also makes for a good example.
No. American version is really bad for you, and the Real Mesican is not too good either. There are bright spots though.
I like mexican food, but Indian is my favourite. You can't beat a well-made Tarka Dal.
I think Mexican cuisine is probably the most misunderstood (well, that and Chinese), simply because so few people apart from real Mexican food fans understand the difference between authentic Mexican dishes, Tex-Mex dishes and junk food Mexican dishes. For example, tacos from Taco Bell come in a prefab, U-shaped, crispy, fried tortilla. In Mexico they come in a soft tortilla. Fajitas are a Tex-Mex invention, not a traditional Mexican food. And the list goes on.

Many people believe that Mexican food is just tortillas, tomatoes, cheese, guacamole, beef, chicken, and whatever else they see on the menu at Taco Bell, whereas the truth is it is a lot more extensive. Mexicans love to use seasonal fresh produce. Rather than thawing vegetables or popping open a can of something which isn't in season, they will choose something which is in season and build their meal around that.

Another misconception is that all Mexican food is spicy, which it is most definitely not. Some Mexican dishes are spicy but some are lightly spiced, and others are mild or not spiced at all. There is also confusion about some of the ingredients and meals. "Refried beans" are not fried twice, for example. The word "refried" comes from the Spanish word for "fried" (something beginning with "re-" in Spanish does not mean done and then done again).

People who experiment making their own Mexican food recipes and visiting good quality Mexican restaurants (not fast food ones) have a greater appreciation for the unique cuisine of Mexico. There is nothing wrong with Tex-Mex food (or even junk food on occasion) but to answer your question fully, it is important to point out some of the more popular misconceptions. It's just like with Chinese food. A lot of people list the sweetest sauces, crunchiest deep-fried Chinese foods and whatever they prefer from the take-out as their favorite Chinese dishes whereas half of that stuff would be unrecognizable to someone from China.

So in my opinion, Mexican cuisine is one of the best cuisines, one of the most creative, and one of the healthiest too (if you prepare it the authentic way) but I personally also love Thai food, Mediterranean food, good old traditional American food and... well too much to list here!
it Rocks it very filling
