When did the stereotype of Mexican food giving diarrhea start? ?

What is the origin of this stereotype? How true is it?When did the stereotype of Mexican food giving diarrhea start? ?
I think it comes from the fact that some Mexican food can be very spicy. Depending upon the individual, spicy foods can cause stomach upsets which in turn can cause diarrhea. Some people, like me, can pretty much eat whatever without any problems. However, some people just can't take a lot of spice.When did the stereotype of Mexican food giving diarrhea start? ?
Not sure, but its because they tend to use a lot of beans in their food.
