What is in cheap Mexican restaurant food?

Sometimes myself, as well as others are plagued with horrible intestinal discomfort after eating at a cheap Mexican restaurant. It doesn't happen at the upper scale ones or when made at home, even when using cheap canned refried beans imported from Mexico. What is it that they put in the food that does this??What is in cheap Mexican restaurant food?
Would be a standard chilli powder, shredded chuck for the beef, the refried beans would be imported and mass produced.

The intestinal discomfort could come from "cheap" lard. To say that upscale restaurants wouldn't use Lard is a bit silly as many Rick Bayless recipes call for it, and I wouldn't call his restaurants cheap. What is in cheap Mexican restaurant food?
Not certain but it might be MSG which is a flavor enhancer. I don't do well with foods seasoned with that.
Besides using cheap ingredients, they may also be using lard in the beans for more flavor, Upscale Establishments won't do that. What is in cheap Mexican restaurant food?
Cheap food...cheap ingredients! Simple as that. Especially now you need to be careful, there has been so much salmonella and eccoli in Mexican products.
mexicans. What is in cheap Mexican restaurant food?
Beans beans, the musical fruit.....

The cheap stuff at the fast food places should not be considered food.

I think the ingredients are TOP SECRET....
