HELP! What kind of food do you have at a Mexican event?

I'm getting married and to celebrate my grooms culture- we want some mexican food at the event. However, he says its always birria (a meat dish), beans and rice. I can't imagine that's all we could serve. What kinds of foods do you recommend? What have you had at weddings, quinceneras, or events?HELP! What kind of food do you have at a Mexican event?

I don't think he means that that is all you can serve, just that you need to have meat, beans and rice on the menu. I would definitely go with pork tamales, beef enchiladas, cheese enchiladas (for those that don't eat meat), frijoles, mexican fried rice, and perhaps a taco bar with chicken. For dessert a nice flan would be nice.
